Services to be provided by GLG Cannabis Practice Group will include assessment of business and individual risks; addressing the complexities resulting from the interplay between federal, state, and local cannabis-related laws and regulations; counsel with regard to corporate formation and structure; negotiating and/or structuring commercial transactions, establishing investment, transaction and business-relationship structures that meet relevant state requirements; joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions; asset and/or license transfers; assistance with state and local permitting process(es); real estate transactions, negotiating real estate acquisitions, leases and construction agreements; commercial leasing and landlord/tenant matters; litigation and/or dispute resolution; as well as related day-to-day administrative matters, regulatory advice, general business counsel, and Compliance-related matters.
Trusted Experience In the Cannabis Industry
Prior experience includes; representation of client(s) throughout the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection Adult Use Cannabis Licensing Program(s) and the Medical Marijuana Dispensary Facility License process(es), as well as a successful asset transfer of an adult use cannabis business license. The Cannabis Practice group also has experience representing client(s) in obtaining Connecticut Department of Agriculture Hemp Producer and Processor license(s).
